HANDS (Helping Assist with New Devices for Seniors) is an international collaborative research project led by Dr. Cathy Treadaway and Dr. Gail Kenning at University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
The work is supported by Alzheimer’s Australia, Alzheimer’s Society, Age Cymru and Dementia Positive charities and encompasses a portfolio of inclusive and participatory design research projects investigating innovative ways to increase the subjective wellbeing of people with dementia. The projects include: Hand i Pockets, Making a Difference, Crafting Wellbeing, D::IGIT(Dance Integrating Gesture and Haptics) and Dementia Aprons.
